Otto Group: Change in management positions in Group logistics

Effective June 1, 2022, Kamil Christoph Kasprowicz will take the chair of the Executive Board at the newly founded Baur Hermes Fulfilment GmbH in Altenkunstadt. His successor as Group Vice President Supply Chain Management of Otto Group is Raphael Maier, who has been responsible for Supply Chain Strategy & Innovation since 2021.

Joining COO Peter Volk, Kamil Christoph Kasprowicz completes the two-member Executive Board of Baur Hermes Fulfilment GmbH. Andreas du Plessis, originally designated as CEO, was unable to accept the position for personal reasons and has since left the company.

Before joining the Otto Group, 37-year-old Business Economics graduate Kasprowicz worked for the management consultancy Roland Berger, focusing in particular on projects in the transport industry and logistics infrastructure in Germany, other European countries and the Middle East. The former competitive swimmer joined the Otto Group in 2017, where he was Head of the Consulting Department, before accepting the position of Head of Operations in 2019. Kamil has been Group Vice President Supply Chain Management since January 2021. In this function, his remit included Group logistics planning, strategy, innovation & group services in particular.

Raphael Maier, who has been responsible for Supply Chain Strategy & Innovation at the Otto Group since 2021, will succeed him as Group Vice President Supply Chain Management on June 1. The 39-year-old qualified agriculturalist and industrial engineer previously held a variety of management roles in the development of the food e-commerce business at the Swiss Coop Group from 2007 to 2012. In the area of logistics, he worked for Lekkerland in a variety of managerial positions in Switzerland and Austria from 2013 to 2020.
