A new website – with a brand-new feature: with its freshly-launched JobFinder app, from today the Otto Group provides a complete overview of job vacancies within the Group, in over 20 countries and in its 123 major companies. The app is available for download from the completely redesigned Otto Group homepage, which ensures optimal display on all end-devices thanks to Responsive Design.
The JobFinder was designed for intuitive use and performs convincingly thanks to its simplicity. “Job-seekers just need to upload their personal profile and job interests. As soon as a suitable position becomes available in the Group the potential candidate is informed automatically and proactively by push message or e-mail”, explains Sandra Widmaier, Vice President Corporate Human Resources Otto Group. Interested applicants can then send in their applications with just a few clicks.
The JobFinder not only targets external applicants but also candidates from within the Otto Group. “The external employment market is becoming increasingly more flexible and transparent and we intend to mirror this in the presentation of the Otto Group’s internal job market. “With our JobFinder we aim to offer information proactively to all our employees on job vacancies in their own Group company as well as Group-wide. And this way we’re also inviting them to consider their own professional development in the respective Otto Group company. This makes the JobFinder an important tool for us in binding our talents more closely to the Group”, continues Widmaier.
Focus on innovation
With the simultaneous relaunch of its corporate website www.ottogroup.com the Otto Group presents itself as an attractive employer and a driver of the digital transformation. With its large, emotional images, videos and Responsive Design that ensures optimal webpage display on all end-user devices, the new website provides an exciting overview of the Group companies and the corporate Divisions active at the Group’s Hamburg headquarters.
A core content focus of the new corporate website is the topic of innovation. After all, retail is one of the business sectors in which the digital transformation of core business has progressed the furthest. The Otto Group is investing heavily in new business models and in the transformation of its companies’ existing activities to become digital businesses. With an overarching E-Commerce Strategy and through building expert teams in Business Intelligence, the globally active company group has already established fundamental prerequisites to thrive in the digital age. The core e-commerce success factors such as Mobile, User Experience and Online-Marketing are also presented in detail on the new homepage.
