With effect from 01 April 2018 the renowned retail and logistics manager Kay Schiebur will join the Executive Board of the retail and services company Otto Group as Member for Services. The 49-year-old succeeds Hanjo Schneider who is leaving the Group at his own wish.
In Kay Schiebur the Otto Group is gaining an experienced top manager for the key Board Area of Services. Hamburg-born Schiebur has earned an outstanding reputation in various management positions as an innovative and digitally well-versed retail and logistics expert. Since 2002 he has played a major role in shaping and further developing the logistics operation of the international convenience wholesaler Lekkerland, headquartered in Frechen, Germany. He has held the post of Executive Director for the last nine years, and since 2013 has been Chief Supply Chain Officer with responsibility for Merchandise Rebuying and Logistics. Kay Schiebur is a Member of the Advisory Board of the German Federal Logistics Association (BVL). In early 2017 he announced he would not be extending his contract with Lekkerland, in order to take up new challenges outside the company.
At the Otto Group Kay Schiebur will above all be responsible for managing the Group’s logistics activities on a national and international level. He succeeds Hanjo Schneider who left the Otto Group at the end of last year at his own wish.
