Hermes-OTTO International, the sourcing organisation of the Otto Group and Scan-Thor Group, one of the biggest buying offices in Europe, join forces. Both companies hold a 50 percent stake in the company Otto International Scan-Thor ApS with its head office in Herning, Denmark.
The Joint Venture will include subsidiaries in Europe and Africa and will cover business in the following countries and regions: Scandinavia, Latvia, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, Belorussia, Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, the Balkans, Italy, Spain, Portugal and Sub-Saharan Africa. With this partnership, both parties intend to expand their European activities and to develop the African market for sourcing fashion as well as home textiles and furnishings.
The Scan-Thor Group and the Otto Group have maintained a close and fruitful business relationship for more than 35 years. “On this basis of mutual trust it was easy to agree on an even closer relationship”, says Michael Dumke, CEO of Hermes-OTTO International. “The two companies complement each other both from an organisational point of view as well as through their specific strengths in the European market.”
