In the Otto Group, these important players are not on the pitch, but lead project meetings. Nor do they have numbers on their backs, but shoulder major responsibility for the digital future of the Group.
The Corporate Strategy & Development team sets the strategic direction for the Otto Group’s further development. Around 20 colleagues develop innovative business models and are gradually expanding the Group’s portfolio. This requires experienced strategists with a high degree of creativity, because after all even fleeting ideas can become new companies with high sector relevance. Concepts are refined in small, agile teams and taken to market readiness. The colleagues here are in a close exchange with the Group Executive Board and other Otto Group departments.
Alongside young fashion provider Collins, the cross-channel payment solution Yapital and data-driven advertiser Otto Group Media are among the newest consulting projects for the Corporate Strategy & Development area. Three examples of companies with game-changing potential, which often benefit from the expertise of their initiators even after a successful market launch – the Project Leads often take on key management positions in the newly founded start-ups. This means that the vital Otto Group DNA remains recognisable even in small organisations.
