As an international early-stage investor, e.ventures manages several venture capital funds where the Otto Group participates as a major investor. With its five funds e.ventures currently invests in innovative technology start-ups in the US, Europe, Asia and Latin America. Additionally, a Growth Capital Fund is operating, which invests in growth companies globally.
The typical investment amount is between 0.5 million to 10 million euros, and funds generally last for a period of up to ten years. The aim is to fund innovative business models that have the potential to create or disrupt markets, and support world class founders as they build sustainable companies. Historically, the e.ventures portfolio has invested in companies such as Groupon, Angie’s List, Shopping.com, Del.icio.us, Sonos, and Kaufda.
