Hanseatic Versicherungsdienst

Hanseatic Versicherungsdienst (HVD) was founded by OTTO in 1964. Originally spun off from its insurance department, HVD now bundles the global group’s insurance expertise for its over-the-counter and distance-selling companies, as well as those in the services sector. It offers all companies in the Otto Group professional support on all matters of insurance.

Central control of insurance management helps to secure assets and safeguard investments for the entire Group. The aim is to provide all companies in Germany and abroad with an insurance concept at favourable terms and independent of other insurance companies.

HVD also act as insurance brokers for industrial, retail, commercial and services companies and private clients outside the Otto Group. Here, too, insurance products are designed specifically with a view to providing comprehensive coverage with an appropriate price-performance ratio.
