Technical Quality Manager | iOS Android | Apps (f/m/d)

We are Team Apps and responsible for OTTO's iOS and Android apps with over 7,5 million active users. Our apps are developed in Kotlin and Swift and supported by serverless backend services in Kotlin. As a team, we make technology and architecture decisions independently and are involved from conception to operation and monitoring of the features. In our team you will meet people from all over the world who stand up for each other and accept different personalities.

As our Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the high quality of our mobile apps for both Android and iOS. You will be working closely with our mobile developers and product managers.

Many speak of homeoffice, we speak of mobile working: our teams decide for themselves how the balance of mobile working and being on campus is sensible for them.

Was Dich erwartet:

• Drive quality processes and tools within the App Team, including testing and assisting developers in testing stories to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Document manual tests and releases, creating comprehensive test plans and test cases to ensure thorough testing coverage.
• Drive quality excellence by conducting retrospectives and team workshops to identify areas of improvement and implement effective solutions.
• Collaborate closely with the development team to identify and fix software defects, track defects to resolution, and verify the quality of the software changes.

Was Du mitbringen solltest:

Must-have:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Proven experience as a Quality Engineer or similar role, with a strong background in mobile app testing
• Knowledge of mobile app development concepts and experience with testing methodologies, tools, and frameworks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional team environment
• Self-motivated and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for delivering high-quality results.
• Language level: German B1 (advanced language use), English B2 (independent language use)

Nice-to-have:

• Openness to work with development tools such as XCode or Android
• Experience or willingness to do software development or do pair programming with our mobile engineers
