Hans-Werner Scherer, born in 1955, started his career as manager at the Deutsche Inkasso-Dienst (DID) [German Debt Collection Service] in 1985. Having assumed internal management duties in the areas of IT, mergers, acquisitions, and sales, Scherer joined the DID Executive Board as Spokesman in 1998.

He initiated the strategic orientation of today's EOS Group and is one of the persons in charge of the Group's European and American expansion. Since March 2003, Hans-Werner Scherer has been Chairman of the Executive Board of the KG EOS Holding GmbH & Co.
